Dua lipa was born August 22, 1995, in London to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Through her maternal grandmother, she has Bosnian origin. Also, her ancestors come from Peja, which is a Kosovo town of Peja. The grandparents of Lipa were both historians. Her siblings include Rina and Gjin. The father of Lipa, who was a guitar player and singer in the Kosovan band Oda was a major influence on her music.
